Building Trust at the Team and Organizational Level

Context: Amazon needed help launching a newly formed 60-person, distributed team and inspiring them to dream up audacious goals. Before the team could do bold work, they needed to get to know each other on a personal level.

Strategy: We designed and delivered a multi day offsite that leveraged nature, creative expression, relationship-building and reflection to lay the groundwork for a culture of trust and innovation. The offsite culminated in a one day design challenge and presentation that were seeds of ideas to be prototyped.

Role: Experience Design, Facilitation

Impact: It was truly transformative, the energy and enthusiasm for the team was palpable. In the takeaways, many wrote how inspired they felt by their teammates, they understood leadership’s vision and they were energized by the challenge. Fear and anxiety transformed into feelings of connection and engagement, a team identity and many new connections.
