Amplifying the Brand through Strategic Collaborations

Context: Interscope Records saw the innovative work my team was producing and reached out to suggest a partnership with one of their artists. They provided a short list of artists we could choose from and invited us to propose a collaboration. The team chose BØRNS, an up and coming artist who was about to release his EP, Candy.

My Role: Strategy, Partnerships, Executive Producer

Strategy: I saw an opportunity to challenge the team to redefine the live music experience using BØRNS EP release event as the canvas. The team created an overarching narrative to contextualize and translate the EP into a six room immersive experience that culminated in a live performance. Each room mapped to a song and was brought to life by an actor who engaged with the 1000 guests who attended the event.

Impact: The event was a wild success and was written up in several music blogs and was talked about for months afterwards. BØRNS’ album went platinum and my team received a platinum album from Interscope Records for recognition in contributing to his success.
